South Australian company The Event Shop has launched a world first in advanced security ticketing services - The wrisTICKET™.

The new wrisTICKET replaces the traditional paper ticket. In addition to colour-coding for each session or day, each wrisTICKET carries advanced security features, and the unique barcode and information that would have been printed on a paper ticket.
When integrated with The Event Shop’s new eventACCESS™ system, event organisers can significantly improve their duty of care performance, and streamline their gate and crowd management processes. Everyone is scanned in and out of the venue, and event staff can easily determine if a person is in the right area or at the right session, or attempting a second entry using an already-scanned wrisTICKET.
Complete control of the public on site is regained.
Up until now, event organisers who issue generic wristbands at the gate or door lose the benefit of the barcoded ticket. The secure, non-removable wrisTICKET combines the information on the paper ticket with the generic wristband, and allows gate staff, ushers and security to instantly identify each audience member on the spot using wireless handheld eventACCESS scanners.
Our secure ticketing and fulfilment process can even capture the signature and photo of every customer or Member and transfer this information into the system. Visual identity can be confirmed at the door, or remotely by roaming staff, and people can be asked to sign in to provide a signature match. For high profile or potential target events, this is a major step forward in risk and threat management and audience control, as it removes the ability for an audience member to gain access and remain anonymous.
The wrisTICKET was first used at the international WOMADelaide festival in South Australia in March 2006.
